True North Country Comics Podcast gets you prepared for Montreal Comic Arts Festival 2026

Welcome to the True North Country Comics Podcast — dedicated to celebrate Canadian comic book and graphic novel creators and supporters.

From May 15 to 17, 2026, the Montreal Comic Arts Festival (MCAF) will set up its tents on Saint-Denis Street, between Gilford and Roy, in Montreal, Quebec, to create a 1.2 km comic-themed walk filled with activities, exhibitions, and meet-and-greets.

Last year, the MCAF welcomed over 90,000 visitors, hosted 1750 exhibitors, and showcased more than 330 comic artists. The MCAF team presented a bilingual program of over 60 free activities themed Back to Future, held over three days for the general public.

The theme for this year’s 15th edition of MCAF is ALIVE! designed to bring to light comic book representations of flora and fauna, memorable characters, and breathtaking worlds, as well as more challenging topics such as the environment, politics, and other current issues. Julie Rocheleau, who a guest of honour at this year’s MCAF, is the creator of the event’s poster.

MCAF is loaded with events for both young and those who are just a little bit older 🙂
