Welcome to the True North Country Comics Podcast — dedicated to celebrate Canadian comic book and graphic novel creators and supporters.
Here’s my chat with Vivi Partridge about Vivisect an autobio comic self-anthology published by Inservice Comics.

From May 15 to 17, 2026, the Montreal Comic Arts Festival (MCAF) will set up its tents on Saint-Denis Street, between Gilford and Roy, in Montreal, Quebec, to create a 1.2 km comic-themed walk filled with activities, exhibitions, and meet-and-greets.The theme for the 15th edition of MCAF is ALIVE! designed to bring to light comic book representations of flora and fauna, memorable characters, and breathtaking worlds, as well as more challenging topics such as the environment, politics, and other current issues. MCAF attendees will have the opportunity get up close and personal with many comic book and graphic novel creators including Vivi Partridge.
Vivi Partridge is a queer emerging artist from Toronto, Ontario. Recently graduated from Seneca Polytechnic’s illustration course, Vivi has tabled at many comics expos across Canada and the US including Comic-Con, TCAF, VANCAF and MCAF. Vivi is one of the Co-founders and editors of the PPCrew art collective. Previously, Vivi produced the graphic novel Quiet Crossings published by Conundrum Press. Vivi’s latest book is entitled Vivisect published by Inservice Comics.

Vivisect is described as “a raw and rambunctious diary comic about a big breakup, making your first graphic novel, therapy, mental health, and befriending characters from manga.”
