Michael Schwartz announces new book Till Death
AIPT Comics wrote about the new book from Michael Schwartz called Till Death from Clover Press. The article mentioned that the forthcoming Kickstarter project will feature cover and interiors art by illustrator Tula Lotay.

University of Pennsylvania calls for papers about Intersectional Resistance(s) in Canadian comics and graphic novels
Studies in Canadian Literature at the University of Pennsylvania is asking for submissions in essay form about intersectional resistance(s) in Canadian comics and graphic novels. The request for papers is based on the thesis that “marginality can be understood through questions of place, understandings of multiculturalism, identity, language, and access to visibility”.

Siegfried: Dragon Slayer creators present at St. Thomas More College
In a LinkedIn post, Jasmine Redford referenced a recent presentation about the graphic novel Siegfried: Dragon Slayer. Along with writer Mark Allard-Will, Jasmine presented the book to an English class at St. Thomas More College in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Jeff Lemire announces new graphic novel series

In his Substack post, Jeff Lemire announced a new three book graphic novel series called Mr. Oblivion. Along with artist Teddy Kristiansen, the supernatural detective series is to be published by Harper Collins’ Harper Alley imprint with the first volume Incantations slated for Summer 2027.

Johnnie Christmas to speak at Baltimore County Public Library
In an Instagram post, Johnnie Christmas announced that he will be speaking about his graphic novel Gamerville at Baltimore Country Public Library today. He will talk about his process, do a Q&A session and sign books at 10 am at the Randallstown Branch and at 2 pm at the Perry Hall Branch.

Hobtown Mystery Stories 3 gets review in The Comics Journal
The Comics Journal reviewed Hobtown Mystery Stories 3: The Secret of The Saucer by Kris Bertin and Alexander Forbes. The review praises Alexander’s artwork while comparing Kris’ story to the films of David Lynch and Nobuhiko Obayashi.

Joanna Cacao announces new YA graphic novel deal
In an Instagram post, Joanna Cacao revealed that Henry Holt has bought the world rights to the graphic novel adaptation of Dan Gemeinhart’s middle grade novel The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise. Joanna noted that she will illustrated the graphic novel planned for publication in the spring/summer of 2029.

Canadian creators win GLAAD Media Award
In a Bluesky post, Anthony Oliveira announced that Avengers Academy won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comic Book. In the post, the award also recognized Bailie Rosenlund as part of the creative team.

Graphic novel and comic book creators on CSFFA 2025 eligibility list
On its homepage, the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association listed the eligible works for consideration in the 2026 awards. Many graphic novel and comic book creators made the list including:
