Chip teases about getting MAD About DC
In a YouTube video, Chip Zdarsky offers a teaser about what readers can expect for MAD About DC. The one-shot special features many known comic book creators including Valentine De Landro, Ryan North, Mariko Tamaki, Kagan McLeod and of course Chip, and is slated for sale on April 1. No foolin’.

Foreward Indies Awards announces finalists
The Foreward Indies Awards listed the finalists for this year’s selection in the Graphic Novels & Comics (General) category. Notables include:

Tsunami by Ned Wenlock published by Pow Pow Press

Ringo Awards 2026 nominations now open
The Ringo Awards 2026 announced that nominations are now open. Named after the late comic artist Mike Wieringo, the awards recognize excellence in the creation of comic books in a variety of categories Best Series, Best Cover Artist, Best Letterer, Best Humor Webcomic, Best Original Graphic Novel, Best Artist or Penciller/Inker Team, Best Writer, Best Presentation in Design, Best Anthology, Best Kids Comic or Graphic Novel, Best Non-Fiction Comic Work, Best Cartoonist (Writer/Artist), Best Webcomic, Best Colorist, Best Humorous Comic, Best Single Issue or Story, Mike Wieringo Spirit Award, Hero Initiative Awards and Fan Favourite. With nomination ballots determined by a nominating jury and fan participation, winners are to be announced at the Baltimore Comic Con taking place September 25-27.

Smallville’s Kristin Kreuk pens new gothic horror comic book series
IGN wrote about Titan Comics’ new gothic horror comic book series written by Kristin Kreuk. Most notable for her role as Lana Lang on TV’s ‘Smallville’ series, Kristin will pen Black Star and joined by Peter Mooney, Eric Putzer with illustrations by Joe Bocardo. The first issue from is slated for sale on July 29.
