Howard Wong writes new samurai-horror comic
According to a press release from Markosia Enterprises, a new one-shot samurai-horror comic entitled Dying Samurai from Howard Wong and Robin Simon Ng is now available. Available from all good book sellers starting July 31, the full-colour 42-page story promises: “A lone samurai, combines, and a hundred outlaws to kill!”

Charlene Chua to illustrate more Once Upon A Tail books
In a recent podcast interview, Charlene Chua spoke about continuing her illustrative work for the Once Upon A Tail series. She hinted that the next title in the series is anticipated to be published in 2027. Stay tuned.

Ricky Lima promotes Canadian comic book creation at Brampton Summer Artists Market
In an interview with inBrampton.com, Ricky Lima spoke about the upcoming comic book creator gathering at the Brampton Summer Artists Market. Taking place on Sunday, July 19 at the Springdale Library Branch in Brampton, Ontario, the event will showcase local comic creators, painters, crafters and artisans.

Winter Wei announces next project
In a podcast interview, Winter Wei revealed her next project — a one-shot min-comic based on an action-fantasy story based in Toronto, Ontario. Winter plans to adapt the story and fight scene of ‘Chaos Collins’ written by Ian Williams.

The Bank Street College of Education announced the 2026 edition of the Best Children’s Books of Year and Canadians made the list. Notable creators include:
