Bill Slavin gives talk about Mordecai Crow trilogy
The Millbrook Times announced that Bill Slavin will be the Millbrook Branch of the Cavan Monaghan Libraries for the launch of his now-completed Mordecai Crow trilogy published by Renegade Arts Entertainment. On Tuesday, November 25 at 7 pm, Bill is slated to give a short talk about the trilogy while sharing some of the history and thought that went into its creation.

Hellboy investigates ghost ships in Labrador
The Telegram reported that Hellboy: The Ghost Ships of Labrador features ghost whaling ships in Red Bay, Labrador. Rob Williams, co-writer of the two-party story, said that the tale is the result of his “digging into the history of the region, how the Basque whaling ships would come across the Atlantic.”

Fred Kennedy preps for The Florida Hippopotamus Cocaine Massacre
Popverse spoke with Fred Kennedy in advance of next February’s first issue of The Florida Hippopotamus Cocaine Massacre. The article offers artwork of the first issue, to be published by Mad Cave Studios, along with a story description by Fred which entails: “This book is silly, VERY silly. And I don’t think there’s ever been a greater need for silly.”

Applications now open for Vancouver Comic Arts Festival 2026
In an Instagram post, the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival announced that applications are now open for exhibitors for the 2026 event. Slated to occur on July 4 and 5 at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, applications will be accepted until January 11, 2026.

Fela graphic novel gets write up on Forbes
Forbes.com reported about why the graphic novel Fela: Music Is The Weapon is making an impact with younger generation readers. Creators Conor McCreery and Jibola Fagbamiye offer their insight as to the popularity and impact of their new graphic novel.

Brampton Arts Organization launches pilot studio program for local artists
Insauga Brampton wrote about the non-profit Brampton Arts Organization launching a pilot project design to offer affordable studio space to local artists. Brampton creator Ricky Lima said that he anticipates “many great things to come from this space.”

Wayside Creative announces sequential art poetry project
In an Instagram post, Wayside Creative lead Allison Danger revealed that the 2026 project will focus on sequential art and poetry. More details are anticipated in the coming weeks so stay tuned.
