C2E2 takes place this weekend in Chicago at McCormick Place and Canadian comic book creators are ready to greet and meet their fans.
C2E2 is all about cosplay, gaming, wrestling, anime and comic books in the only pop culture convention in the heart of Downtown Chicago. The three day event gathers favourite celebrities, unique exhibitors, incredible comic artists, and larger-than-life literary authors all into one place to celebrate everyone’s loved fandoms. From the halls of Artist Alley to the depths of the Show Floor, C2E2 provides a space of creativity and fun, but most importantly, one that cultivates a sense of belonging, safety, and inclusiveness.
Entertainment fans will have the opportunity to meet and interact with a variety of celebrities including comic book and graphic novel artists. Canadian creators are also in the mix including:

Friday, April 26

A World with Superheroes, Utopia or Dystopia? – Would a world with super beings be a paradise or an inferno? This panel of scholars and writers will unpack some of these ideas and offer complex analysis of the idea of whether we would be better off with or without super powered people featuring Illya Kowalchuk, Jason Larsen, Kyle Higgins, Le Beau Underwood, Michael Gianfrancesco, Sanya Anwar and Tamara Chambers.

Descend Into Madness: Horror Comics from Mad Cave: Anthony Cleveland (Charred Remains, Show’s End, Stargazer), Kelly Williams (Skeeters, Bountiful Garden), and Ray Fawkes (Sanction) celebrate the genre of horror in comics and discuss what inspires their spooky storytelling.
