Poster Art by the Legendary Michel Rabagliati
As part of the coverage for the 2022 Montreal Comic Arts Festival (MCAF), here’s my chat with Johanne Desrochers about MCAF 2022. This podcast is available on Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts. And the podcast is also available on YouTube. Please like and subscribe to that video channel.
Johanne is the executive director of MCAF. She has over twenty-five years of experience working with small and cultural companies. Johanne has a great knowledge of areas related to strategic planning, human resources management, business development and budget monitoring. Involved in her community, she has been administrator of various social and community organizations, as she is for example the chair of the Board of the Autism Foundation.
MCAF is entering its second decade with a new location. From May 27 to 29, the Festival will set up in tents on Saint-Denis Street, between Gilford and Roy, creating a 1.5 km-long comic book stroll punctuated with activities, exhibitions and encounters. The Montreal Comic Arts Festival team, in partnership with the SDC Rue Saint-Denis, is excited to reconnect with the public live and in-person, and is pleased to unveil its 2022 program. Spread over three days, the programming slate will be bilingual, free and open to all. After two years of absence, more than a hundred exhibitors will be participating in this year’s Festival.
