&rew K gets ready for ‘Chicken Man vol. 2’

Welcome to the True North Country Comics Podcast — originating in Canadian and celebrating comic book and graphic novel creators and supporters.

On this episode, I chat with &rew K about his comic collection Chicken Man vol. 2 available through Kickstarter.

&rew K is a Toronto, Ontario based creator. He’s a storyboard and comic book artist with over six years of experience working in the animation industry. His background includes working on 2D, 3D, stop-motion, and hybrid animation. &rew K is also the creator of FunPix — a comic book publishing and animation services house with the goal to create exciting stories for tweens and young adults. His client work has included Total Drama Island for Fresh TV, Unicorn Academy for Spin Master/Netflix, SuperKitties for Disney Jr./Sony and Lucas Spider for Fresh TV. &rew K’s previous work can be found in Chicken Man: The Attack of the Vegetable People. &rew K’s latest project is Chicken Man vol. 2.

The story of Chicken Man vol. 2 goes like this: “Things go ‘a-rye’ when a gang of bread mutants team up with a poop monster to vandalize the city! It’s up to Chicken Man to stop them!” The book is described as “an absurdly over the top Action-Comedy graphic novel, and is the second book in the planned Chicken Manquadrilogy! The book contains over 190 pages of traditionally illustrated artwork, plus includes a 15 page bonus comic the author drew when he was 9 years old.”
