Michele is a Thai-Canadian illustrator based in Vancouver. Since graduating, she’s worked in different industries gathering experience as an artist until she discovered the joy of storytelling through personal illustrations and colouring the works of comic artists she admires.

During our chat, Michele talked about her work on ISOLA with Karl Kerschl and Brendan Fletcher. She also shared her experiences while accompanying the Toronto Comic Art Festival team to Japan. Michele talked about attending local venues and experiences including her amazing trip to the Studio Ghilbi Museum. She even dropped some hints about what to expect in the coming issues of ISOLA.

Marvel Comics published a Marvel Quickdraw video about the artists of RAID Studios who brought the Fantastic Four to life. Ramón Pérez, Kalman Andrasofszky, Irma Kniivila and Ian Herring discuss their process for creating and their thoughts on the Marvel characters. You can see the video on Marvel.com

Marvel made the news again by interviewing Jen and Sylvia Soska (otherwise known as the The Soska Sisters) for a podcast about their newest title Black Widow. The podcast available on Marvel.com has the sisters explaining what villains will be pitted against Natasha Romanoff in the ongoing series.

Mark your calendars for Tri-City Super Con 2. The comic book/pop culture expo was just announced and it’s scheduled to take place on September 28 and 29 at Bingemans in Kitchener, Ontario. No guests have been announced as of yet.  More details will be available on TriCitySuperCon.com
