Hosted by Andrew Young of the Geek Hard podcast, the panel included:
– Gibson Quarter is a comic book artist /illustrator working out of the RAID Studio in Toronto, 
– Greg Hyland is a writer, illustrator, designer and storyboard artist for The LEGO Group, Recently, he published the book The Monster Atlas, which he co-authored (with Glenn Kay) and illustrated,
– Matthew von Vulte  is the published author of numerous articles, as well as two children’s works, a history book, and an educational guide on the use of comic books and experiential learning for parents and teacher.

The panel discussed a variety of topics including how they got into the comic book industry, tips for getting comic books published, what works or doesn’t work to get comic books published, how conventions can help, the benefits of the Internet in the creative process, knowing how to do sequential art versus illustrations, and the benefits of attending an art school,

Kirkus Reviews selected Gothic Tales of Haunted Love from publisher Hope Nicholson’s Bedside Press as one of The Best Books of 2018 in the Indie Category. The review states: “This anthology pays tribute to the gothic-romance style seen in comic books from their 1960s and ‘70s heyday, updating them in fresh ways.”
