Jack is the writer of the Eisner-nominated fantasy adventure series Growing Up Enchanted. We’ve seen Jack’s work in Scooby-Doo and Legion of Superheroes in the 31st Century, The Adventures of Digger & Friends, and Sesame Street Comics for Sesame Street Workshop.

During our chat, Jack talked about his current work on Dominion Jack for True Patriot. He also discussed two new projects called Flip from Markosia and Take 2 from Aces Weekly.

Entertainment Weekly interviewed Faith Erin Hicks about her new comic Avatar The Last Airbender: Imbalance, Part One for Nickelodeon. Faith was quoted as saying: “I write and draw comics for younger readers, and Avatar is really the gold standard for storytelling for a young audience… The world is complex, the characters are complex, and it never talks down to its readers.”

Erik Missio of the CBC Parents site wrote an article with five suggestions for parents about reading comic books to their kids. Vulture published an article about the 10 best superhero stories of 2018 that included tv shows, video games, movies and of course, comic books. Coming in at number three is Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #310 by Chip Zdarsky about which Abraham Riesman wrote:  “…it showcases what makes Zdarsky such a vital comics creator, with some all-time great Spider-Man quips interspersed with devastating and carefully observed emotional wallops….a tour de force.” You can read more at Vulture.com
