Canadian comic book creators on 2025 Aurora Awards ballot
Locus Magazine announced the 2025 Aurora Awards ballot that celebrates creative work by Canadians. In the category of Best Graphic Novel/Comic, the nominees are:
– A Witch’s Guide to Burning by Aminder Dhaliwal (published by Drawn and Quarterly)
– It Never Rains by Kari Maaren (self-published)|
– Star Trek Lower Decks: Warp Your Own Way by Ryan North, illustrated by Chris Fenoglio (published by IDW)
– Zatanna: Bring Down the House, by Mariko Tamaki (published by DC Comics)
– Cemetery Kids Don’t Die: Volume 1 by Zac Thompson, illustrated by Daniel Irrizari, Brittany Peer & Gegê Schall (published by Oni)
– Wheetago War: Roth by Richard Van Camp, illustrated by Christopher Shy (published by Renegade Arts Entertainment)
– Into the Goblin Market by Vikki VanSickle, illustrated by Jensine Eckwall (published by Tundra)
