For this report, I speak with Steve McGowan from Matias. Based in Ontario Canada and founded in 1989, Matias is a computer accessories company, with manufacturing facilities in Asia. Matias has gained a reputation for “rescuing” lost technologies, the most famous example being the ALPS mechanical keyswitches in its award-winning Tactile Pro Keyboards. A popular brand in the Mac and mechanical keyboard communities, Matias has also produced OEM products for Alienware (Dell) and others, with corporate, industrial, education, and government customers around the world.
