Good news everyone! TCAF is coming back
The Toronto Comic Arts Festival announced it will return on June 7 to 8 for the enjoyment of comic book fans and creators. However, due to the ongoing renovations to the Toronto Public Reference Library (TCAF’s home for the recent past), the location has switched to Toronto Metropolitan University’s Mattamy Athletic Centre (for old timers, remember the Maple Leaf Gardens site?). Ryan North tackles Godzilla in Marvel books
The Hollywood Reporter wrote that Ryan North, along with artist John Romita Jr., will create a six-issue mini-series entitled Godzilla vs. Marvel. The write up states that the books will being showing up for sale in March with the story taking place over different time periods as Godzilla battles Marvel’s bravest and best including the Fantastic Four and others. The Racc Pack racks up more recognition
On her Instagram feed, Stephanie Cooke announced that the Texas Library Association awarded The Racc Pack as a must read on the 2025 Little Maverick Graphic Novel Reading List. Barnes & Noble published their list of the ‘Best Young Reader Books of 2024’ and Canadian creators are on the list including:

Toronto helped with the Superman mythos
The Toronto Star wrote about how Joe Shuster was inspired by Toronto’s newspaper for the creation of Clark Kent and Superman. Just in time for the teaser trailer of James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ movie, aiming for theatres in July 11, 2025, the write up explains how Superman creator Joe Shuster was a newsboy for the Toronto Daily Star (now the Toronto Star) and how Toronto was the original premise for Metropolis.
