Here’s my chat with Jarret Hartnell about his new graphic novel Shout Kill Revel from Renegade Arts Entertainment.

Jarret Hartnell is a comic creator living in Calgary, Alberta, with Métis and Icelandic heritage. Jarret graduated with a degree in Illustration and design from AuArts where he now teaches narrative illustration. Jarret is fully committed himself to practicing all creative aspects of making comics, including writing, illustrating, lettering and design. As a graduate from the music program at Red Deer college, he also composes scores to utilize all opportunities to express his love for telling stories. Shout Kill Revel is Jarret’s debut graphic novel, and he is working on several new comics and graphic novels.
The story of Shout Kill Revel goes like this “The Undrowned Order rules the land. Their horrific plans dance to the whims of ancient cosmic entities, fuelled by the fears forced upon every soul in sight. It is believed that the young woman Helmina is their messiah, that the darkness lurking within her will one day unleash an unimaginable horror upon the earth. As that day approaches, Helmina, after a lifetime of wrestling with her cosmic affliction, must do more than run and hide from the cultists, her own mind, and the world itself to put an end to the madness.”
