While I won’t be attending San Diego Comic Con International this year, the show must go on and so does the coverage of Canadian comic book creators. Artist Aaron Reynolds will be at the Nerd Street Booth #2049 during the convention.
Agnes Garbowska
Comic book creator Agnes Garbowska will be in Artist Alley at DD-01 during the convention.
Ashley V. Robinson
Comic book writer Ashley V. Robinson will a panelist for ‘The Post Pandemic Publishing Landscape’ on Friday, July 22 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm in Room 26AB.
Blake Northcott
Comic book writer Blake Northcott will be in the Heavy Metal booth #1529 during the convention.
Camilla d’Errico
Artist Camilla d’Errico will participate on an Illustrator Roundtable panel on Saturday, July 23 from 10 am to 11 am in Room 25ABC.
Camilla will also be an exhibitor in booth 4723 during the convention.
Cecil Castelluci
Comic book writer Cecil Castellucci will be very busy participating in many varied panels. On Thursday July 21, the spotlight will be on Cecil from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in Room 4 and again from 1 pm to 2 pm in Sails Pavilion AA110.
On Friday, July 22, from 11 am to 12 noon, Cecil will participate on a panel entitled ‘Autobio Comics’ in Room 29AB. Later that day Cecil will be on the Lucasfilm Publishing panel from 1 pm to 2 pm in Room 7AB.
On Saturday, July 23, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, Cecil will be a panelist for the session entitled ‘What Is the Best Superpower?’ in Room 10. Later that day, from 1 pm to 2 pm, Cecil will participate in a panel entitled ‘Express Yourself: Activism Through the Comic Arts’ in Room 11. And even later that day, Cecil will be on a panel called ‘Climate in Crisis: Comics to Seed Hope’ from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm in Room 26AB.
On Sunday, July 24, Cecil will be on a panel entitled ‘Injecting the Personal’ from 12 noon to 1 pm in Room 28DE.
Ed Brisson
Comic book writer Ed Brisson will be signing in the AfterShock Comics booth on Sunday, July 24th from 11 am to 12 noon.
Emily Hampshire
Actress and comic book creator Emily Hampshire will showcase her new book ‘Amelia Aierwood’ on Friday, July 22 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm in Room 24ABC.
Jenn Haines
Comic store owner Jenn Haines (The Dragon in Guelph, Ontario) will moderate a panel entitled ‘So You Want To Be A Comic Book Retailer?’ on Friday, July 22 from 3 pm to 4 pm in Room 23ABC.
On Saturday, July 23 Jenn will participate in a panel entitled ‘Publishers Weekly: Comics Survived a Pandemic, Now What?’ from 3 pm to 4 pm in Grand 12&13, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina.
Jim Zub
Comic book writer Jim Zub will participate on the Conan the Barbarian 90th Anniversary panel on Thursday, July 21 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in Room 24ABC.
On Friday, July 22 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, Jim will be signing at Comic Sketch Art in booth 4900.
On Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24, Jim will again be signing at Comic Sketch Art in booth 4900.
Johnnie Christmas
Comic book writer Johnnie Christmas will be signing autographs on Saturday, July 23 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm in Sails Pavilion AA07.
Keanu Reeves
Actor and comic book creator Keanu Reeves will participate in a panel about ‘BRZRKR: The Immortal Saga Continues’ on Friday, July 22 from 3 pm to 4 pm in Hall H.
Ken Lashley
Comic book artist Ken Lashley will be on the X-Men Fandom Panel on Saturday, July 23 from 3 pm to 4 pm in Grand 10 & 11, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. Later that day from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Ken will be on a panel entitled ‘Monsters Are for Everyone’ in Room 24ABC.
Mariko Tamaki
Comic book writer Mariko Tamaki will be a panelist for the session entitled ‘What Is the Best Superpower?’ on Saturday, July 23 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in Room 10. Later that day from 4 pm to 5 pm, Mariko will introduce Surely Books in Room 29AB.
On Sunday, July 24, the spotlight will be on Mariko from 12 noon to 1 pm in Room 4.
Matt BATT Banning
Comic book artist Matt BATT Banning will be in Artist Alley at GG-10 during the convention.
Michael Walsh
Comic book creator Michael Walsh will be a panelist for ‘How The Best Horror Comics Summon Readers’ Worst Nightmares’ on Friday, July 22 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm in Room 5AB.
Nathan Fillion
Actor Nathan Fillion will participate in a panel about ABC’s ‘The Rookie’ on Thursday, July 21 from 10:45 am to 11:45 am in Ballroom 20.
Tara Strong
Voice actor Tara Strong along with podcast partner Greg Cipes will do a live version of The Ship-It Show for attendees on Thursday, July 21 from 12 noon to 12:45 pm in Ballroom 20. On Friday July 22 from 10:15 to 11:15 am, Tara will be on the panel for ‘Multiversus’ in Room 6BCF.
Todd McFarlane
Spawn creator Todd McFarlane will be signing autographs and chatting with fans on Thursday July 21 from 7 am to 10 am in the Sails Pavilion. Later that day at 3:15 to 4:15 pm, Todd will be in Room 6DE as he celebrates Spawn’s 30th Anniversary. To wrap up Thursday, Todd will be signing autographs from 5 pm to 6:30 pm in Sails Pavilion AA04.
On Friday, July 22 Todd will sign autographs from 7 am to 11 am in Sails Pavilion.
On Saturday, July 23 Todd will sign autographs from 7 am to 10 am in Sails Pavilion. Later that day, Todd will continue to sign autographs from 4 pm to 5:30 pm in Sails Pavilion AA05.

Actor and comic book creator William Shatner will be the focus of Shatner on Shatner on Thursday, July 21 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in Hall H.
