Toben Racicot discusses the making of ‘Pilgrim’s Dirge’

Toben is a writer and letterer from Ontario. He’s worked on a variety of indie comics like Beastlands, Sidequest, Gimmick, and the Bite of Brenna Barlow. He studies Role-Playing Games and Collaborative Worldbuilding at the University of Waterloo. He grew up playing Super Nintendo and losing his eyesight playing GameBoy by the light of passing streetlights. His favourite games are Fire Emblem, Donkey Kong Country 2, and Diablo 2. His most recent project was Emulator (the focus of a podcast from March of this year). Toben’s current project is Pilgrim’s Dirge.

Pilgrim’s Dirge is a science fiction adventure in a post-apocalyptic solar system. The cataclysm awoke an ancient evil whose return threatens not just Earth, but all existence. Orin Daniels must band together with unprecedented alien races to eliminate this threat and save the galaxy. If Orin thought Earth was a chilling place, he has no idea what awaits in the dark of space.
