Tony is a writer and illustrator currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia. He studied fine art at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design or Emily Carr University, and later attended Capilano College or Capilano University for their Commercial Animation programs. His first job out of Animation School was as a concept artist and art director for a small video game company, making a 3D physics-based platformer for the PlayStation 2 garnering skills about animation, 3D, game design, and the game industry. One of his first comic book efforts was an entry in a Flight Comics anthology that encouraged Tony to self-publish his own comics — the Eisner Award nominated Deliliah Dirk series. After three Delilah Dirk graphic novels, with a fourth in the planning stage, Tony wrote and illustrated a children’s book, Let’s Get Sleepy, and also wrote a novel entitled Standard Magic. His most current project is Bubble for which he was the illustrator.
Based on the smash-hit audio serial, Bubble is described as a hilarious high-energy graphic novel with a satirical take on the “gig economy.” The story centers on a Morgan, a citizen of Fairhaven that’s a literal bubble of safety and order (and amazing coffee) in resides in the midst of the Brush, a harsh alien wilderness ruled by monstrous Imps and rogue bands of humans. During her morning jog, Morgan fends off an Imp attack and then the monster hunting and hilarity begins.
