Here’s some of the current news about Canadian comic book creators and supporters.

On Twitter, Jim Zub was asked if there are any plans for a Snowguard comic. Jim responded with post on Tumblr indicating that Snowguard will appear in Champions Annual #1 arriving in December. It’s a 30-page story co-written by Nyla Innusuk and Jim, with art by Marcus To and colors by Jordan Boyd. Jim encouraged readers to buy it and tell their friends to show Marvel the demand for  more Snowguard-focused stories. You can read more on


Andrew Wheeler was interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter about the latest Kickstarter comic book anthology Shout Out. Andrew was quoted as saying “I’d like to see young readers’ bookshelves swell with more graphic novels that feature LGBTQ protagonists and relationships.
