Canadian comic book creators nominated for 2018 Harvey Awards

Canadians are well accounted for in the list of nominees announced this week for the 2018 Harvey Awards. Established in 1988, the Harvey Awards are one of the comic industry’s oldest and most prestigious awards that recognize outstanding achievement in multiple categories. 

Here are the categories featuring Canadians:

Book of the Year
Black Hammer: Secret Origins – Jeff Lemire
Boundless – Jillian Tamaki
Hostage – Guy Delisle
Roughneck – Jeff Lemire
Shade The Changing Girl – Cecil Castellucci and Marley Zarcone

Best Children or Young Adult Book
Brave – Svetlana Chmakova

Best Adaptation from a Comic Book/Graphic Novel
Preacher – Seth Rogen
