Meg Leader is a professional 2D animator with WildBrain and has a Bachelors in Performance Art. Originally from Guelph, Ontario, she has resided in Vancouver, British Columbia for the past decade. As a creator, she strives to give a fresh voice to women, and team up with other minority groups to give Canada and the world a new perspective of storytelling. Highly influenced by comics from the west and the east. Meg adopted her style from past great artists like Bryan Lee O’Malley, Craig Thompson, Kentaro Miura, and Natsuki Takaya, author of her favourite manga, Fruits Basket. Her latest graphic novel is PRÊT, Camille?

PRÊT, Camille? is the story of “Camille, an enthusiastic 16 year old living in Vancouver’s West End with her father. Life seems to be going just peachy for Camille- she spends every moment she can training to be the BEST female fencer, a title she has claimed at her high school. With Camille so used to everything going her way, how shaken will her world be when the best Canadian fencer transfers to their school from Toronto? And, will she finally face the turmoil regarding her mother’s abandonment?”
