Kevin Briones hints about FAN EXPO Canada 2023

Neon Black takes the stage at upcoming comic book expo

In celebration of the comic book creators exhibiting at FAN EXPO Canada 2023, in this episode I chat with Kevin Briones about his Neon Black comic books series and more.

FAN EXPO Canada is the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event in Canada and the third-largest Pop Culture event in North America. The show has grown from a small comic book convention attracting 1,500 fans into a multi-faceted and multiple day citywide event that attracts hundreds of thousands of people from around the world.

Kevin Briones is a creative director for an art studio in Toronto. He has over 15 years experience in the design industry working across Canada including London, Ontario plus Whitehorse, Yukon and other places in between. Kevin is also a graphic artist and illustrator. Previous work includes the Go-Man comic book series. With illustrator Paul Limgenco, Kevin continues to publish the Neon Black comic book series.

The story of Neon Black goes like this: “There is a fine line between good and evil, light and dark, black and white. Some stand for the light, through no choice of their own, out of duty and responsibility. And some have the darkness thrust upon them. In every age, a catalyst emerges outside the boundaries of light and dark. But to right the wrongs, She must become something else. Beyond good and evil. She must become Neon Black.”
