Marvel announced that Iman Vellani, known as the actor who portrays Ms. Marvel, will co-write a new comic books series entitled Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant. The four issue series will also be illustrated by Adam Gorham. First issue is slated for August 30. Doug Wright Awards announces the passing of Phyllis Wright Thomas
On the Instagram feed, the Doug Wright Awards wrote that Phyllis Wright Thomas, widow of Doug Wright, passed away at the age of 93. Phyllis was noted for being a vocal supporter of the Doug Wright Awards by allowing the use of her late husband’s name, his characters and attending almost every Doug Wright Awards ceremony.
