Taking a break

For those wondering why this site hasn’t been updated in a while, it’s for a few reasons.

After about five and half years, I’ve decided to step back from podcasting and this industry for a while.

When I first started, I was in a different point in my life. I was in-between jobs and I was looking for an outlet to target my communication skills. I thought what better way to do this than conducting, editing and posting interviews with Canadian comic book creators. It was a great way to meet liked-minded people about comic books.

I developed my skills as an interviewer, a podcaster, a publisher and as a writer. I met a lot of people and things, for the most part, were great.

However, my sense of excitement for this industry has been waning. I’ve always been told that if your heart isn’t in a project, don’t do it. The end result will not be your best. So, for that, and other reasons, I’ve decided to step back.

Rather than shut down and remove the site completely, a valued colleague suggested that I keep site active as an archive of Canadian comic book creator for others to reflect upon in the future.

Creating this site has taken a great deal of time and effort. I’ve enjoyed doing it. Perhaps others will get something out of it as well.

So, for the time being, I’ll keep this site up and accessible for your viewing and listening pleasure.
