Cecil is the award winning and New York Times Bestselling author of books and graphic novels for young adults including Shade The Changing Girl, Boy Proof, The Plain Janes, Soupy Leaves Home, The Year of the Beasts, Tin Star, and Odd Duck. In 2015 she co-authored Star Wars Moving Target: A Princess Leia Adventure. She just finished writing Female Furies for DC Comics and is now writing Batgirl for DC.
In this interview, which took place in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles, California, Cecil discusses both books along with her recent appearances at San Diego Comic Con.

Halifax Today wrote about the upcoming Dartmouth Comic Arts Festival taking place August 17 to 18 at Alderney Landing in Dartmouth. The eighth annual event will feature Troy Little, Brenda Hickey and many others.

Marvel published a sneak preview of the upcoming Alpha Flight: True North. Available September 4, the first issue features the work of Jim Zub, Ed Brisson, Max Dunbar, Djibril Morrissette-Phan and Scott Hepburn.
