Howard is an award nominated writer and creative consultant. His work includes animation, comics, high-end collectible toys, intellectual property development, transmedia narratives, mobile and web games, plus marketing and creative content development. His collaborative works in comics have been nominated for the Joe Shuster Award’s Gene Day Award, Comic Book Buyer’s Guide Fan Award for Favourite Graphic Novel, and the Ghastly Award for Favourite Horror Anthology. Howard has been nominated for the Joe Shuster Award for Outstanding Canadian Comic Book Writer and received Diamond’s Gem of the Month for his creator-owned work. In a recent conversation, Howard and I talked about one of his recent projects Iron Man: Hong Kong Heroes.

The Airdrie Echo wrote about Michael McAdam who premiered his new work at Calgary Horror Con. His newest comic book series, Gloaming, was co-created by Kyle Burles. When asked about why he got into comic books, Michael was quoted as saying: “It’s a medium that I enjoy because you get to see your imagination come to life visually on the page.”

Dave Bishop announced on his Twitter feed that he’s illustrated a forthcoming book about hockey. Entitled Amazing Hockey Stories: P.K. Subban, Dave provided the artwork for the book written by Lorna Schultz Nicholson that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the NHL hockey star. The book will be available from Amazon on September 3.
