In celebration of the comic book creators exhibiting at FAN EXPO Canada 2023, here’s my chat with Kagan McLeod about his past, current and future projects.

FAN EXPO Canada is the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event in Canada and the third-largest Pop Culture event in North America. The show has grown from a small comic book convention attracting 1,500 fans into a multi-faceted and multiple day citywide event that attracts hundreds of thousands of people from around the world.

Kagan is an illustrator and comic book artist from Canada known for expressive brush drawing in ink, watercolour and acrylic-gouache. Kagan has had illustrations published in magazines, including GQ, Cosmopolitan, Time, People and Reader’s Digest, as well as newspapers The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times.
