According to James: “If there’s one consistent thing more than any other that’s been an influence on my work throughout the years, it has to be the incredible worlds and adventure stories found in classic Hong Kong action films. With Orphan and the Five Beasts, I’m looking to bring that love forward in a new fantasy comic that pays homage to the great films that have given me so much joy in life, while hopefully bringing something unique to the shelves.”

Bleeding Cool interviewed Zac Thompson about his Lonely Receiver series. When asked about his writing process, Zac said: “A lot of Lonely Receiver was written in fits and bursts. But I break everything down into a pretty thorough outline before committing a single idea to the script. So I usually spend a whole week just thinking about visual elements, things that need to happen, poking holes in everything. When that’s all finished, I sit down with a script and start writing in a sprint. Getting about 3 or 4 pages done a day. Writing every day of the week until I finish.”
