Throughout the month of May, True North Country Comics Podcast is celebrating comic book and graphic novel creators who planned to exhibit at the now cancelled 2020 edition of the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF). Established in 2003, the annual event, held at the Toronto Public Reference Library, was designed to give comic book creators, both amateur and professional, a venue to meet with fans and promote their various works in a celebratory fashion complemented by the exhibition, programming and signings.
To give TCAF 2020 exhibitors an opportunity for promotion, True North Country Comics Podcast will publish insightful interviews with comic book creators to showcase their work and raise awareness for their creativity.
“Many comic book related events have been shuttered in 2020, but seeing the Toronto Comic Arts Festival cancelled is a shock to many who wanted to exhibit and attend. Out of respect to those exhibitors, True North Country Comics Podcast is dedicating the entire month of May to publish interviews and articles to honour those creators,” said John Swinimer, editor and publisher, True North Country Comics Podcast. “I always looked forward to TCAF as a great opportunity to meet with old friends and make new friends — all while experiencing the joy and wonder that comic books bring to readers.”
Now entering its fourth year of podcasting, True North Country Comics Podcast, published by True North Country Comics, is currently available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and wherever podcasts are available.
