The Calgary Herald published a report about an exhibit that features Marvel Super Heroes plus a look at Canada’s comic book history. The exhibit running now until mid-February at the TELUS Science Centre in Edmonton, Alberta features the Marvel: Universe of Super-Heroes including costumes and artifacts from the Marvel film universe plus the Marvel comic books that started it all. But for those wanting more Canadian content, the exhibit “explores the emergence of the Canadian comic book industry during the 1940s, when the Canadian government passed the War Exchange Conservation Act, which restricted the import of ‘non-essential’ commercial goods, which included U.S. comic books.” Attendees can discover the Iron Man hero from Vancouver’s Maple Leaf published Better Comics plus a whole lot more.
