The middle-grade graphic novel, set for release in spring 2021, will tell the tale of a witch named Abby and her three friends – a wolf-girl, a ghost and a pumpkinhead – as they band together to save their town from invasion of rabid bunnies. On her blog, Stephanie wrote: “It was the first story I ever really set out to really complete and make happen, and over the years it’s grown so much from what it originally was into this story that I’m so incredibly proud of. Newsarama interviewed Jim Zub about his new series Black Panther and the Agents of Wakanda. When asked about how the project came together, Jim said: “Editor Wil Moss and I had been talking about working together on projects since he joined Marvel in 2014, but it never quite worked out in terms of characters or schedule until now. When he approached me about Black Panther and the Agents of Wakanda, I was crunching on a bunch of other stuff, but it looked like it could be a ton of fun, and allow me to dig into strange parts of the Marvel Universe I find intriguing, so I carved out time to put together a pitch for how I’d approach it and, thankfully, Wil really took to it.”

The Times Colonist reported on a gallery exhibit that features the graphic novel realization of Margaret Atwood’s literary works. Atwood Illustrated features the works of Renee Nault for The Handmaid’s Tale, Johnnie Christmas for Angel Catbird and Ken Steacy for War Bears. When asked to describe the exhibit, Linda Hensellek of Winchester Galleries said: “It is not the norm, for a fine-art gallery…But it’s an opportunity to bridge the gap between graphic novels and comic art and fine art.Certainly, Margaret Atwood has endorsed that by supporting graphic novels, and has a love for it. There is a fine-art element to many of the works of all three artists, so we’re honoured and pleased to offer something different to our usual clientele.”
The exhibit runs until October 8.
