Jennifer Cuthbert Lam

Jennifer is an educator, artist and creator. She has been drawing and writing stories since the age of nine. Her Adventures of Lollipop series keeps expanding with the most recent sixth edition entitled Lollipop Celebrates!: A Book of Holidays and Celebrations

During our chat, Jennifer talked about her comic book influences along with her insight into comic book content as part of the educational process. Jennifer also offered her thoughts about International Women’s Day and what it means to her as the creator of Adventures of Lollipop

Quill and Quire interviewed Mariko Tamaki about her upcoming book Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass featuring illustrations by Steve Pugh. Newsweek reported on a new comic anthology for video game fans. Minecraft: Stories from the Overworld, from Dark Horse, is slated for publication on October 15. Featuring Ryan North, Jenn St-Onge and more, the 88-page anthology was announced just prior to Emerald City Comic Con. You can read more at


Journal Pioneer reported on a new book from Sandstone Comics scheduled for sale on March 30. Sandy Carruthers is joined by Greg Webster and Robert Doan for the 72-page anthology. Sandy was quoted as saying: “Working with Greg and Robert is both a pleasure and an honour. They are both remarkably talented Island artists, and creating comics is no small feat. Their support and enthusiasm was the strength that bound Sandstone Comics.”
