Jed is a Halifax-based comic book writer, originally from Prince Edward Island. He’s best known for his work with Marvel Comics such as Edge of Spider-Geddon, Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther, Daughters of the Dragon and Man Without Fear.

During our chat, Jed talked about how he got started in comic books and his comic book influences. He chatted about the comic book creator scene in East Coast Canada such as in Prince Edward Island. In addition to sharing his current and upcoming projects, Jed discussed his convention plans.

Polygon published an article about the seven most anticipated comics arriving this spring. The list includes Spider-Man: Life Story written by Chip Zdarsky with art by chip and Mark Bagley. The title launches on March 20.You can read more on Polygon.com

The Toronto Comic Arts Festival announced young adult guests and programming for this year’s event taking place from May 11 to 12. Guests include Renee Nault, Ryan North and Mariko Tamaki with even more to be announced. According to TCAF Artistic Director, Christopher Butcher: “ We’ve long been both readers and proponents of YA. Until now we’ve integrated some of the incredible, bestselling YA authors that we’ve been fortunate enough to welcome to TCAF into our general program, trusting interested young readers to find the material they’re looking for.”

Comicbook.com reported that the production start date and location for Sweet Tooth based on Jeff Lemire’s Vertigo Comics series have been revealed. They stated that the production will begin filming on May 21st of this year, with filming taking place in New Zealand. The listing states that filming will last until June 19th, and that additional episodes of the series will be filmed in Vancouver. You can read more at comicbook.com/tv-shows/
