Emmanuelle Chateauneuf

Emmanuelle is a writer and artist from Ontario whose work includes The Feathertale Review, Captain Canuck and her online comic strip series ‘The Daily Comics’. Her most recent project is the graphic novel Queen Street published by Chapterhouse Comics.

During our chat, Emmanuelle chatted about the origin of the story that she calls a ‘slice of life’, the reaction from readers, what she’s learned from the experience. Emmanuelle talked about her artistic influences. She also hinted about what’s in store for her second book. Emmanuelle offers some heartfelt advice about being the hero of your own story.

Dark Horse Comics announced a new anthology entitled ‘Pros and (Comic) Cons’ edited by Hope Nicholson. The book will explore the zany world of comic conventions with true-to-life stories from Jenn St-Onge and many others. The trade paperback is slated to go on sale May 29, 2019. Over the weekend, Studiocomix Press celebrated their first anniversary party in Kitchener, Ontario. Proprietor and publisher, Alfonso Espinos hosted the event for the print shop and comic book shop with celebrity actors, cosplay contest, and also included comic book artist Greg Hyland who signed his new book Monster Atlas.
