Tory is an author, illustrator and educator based in Toronto, Ontario. Her works include autobiography, graphic novels, science comics, audio dramas, podcasts and kids books. Last year, Tory published her book Mirror Mind which tackled the subject of growing up with dyslexia.

During our chat, Tory spoke about her new book Science Comics’ THE BRAIN from First Second and how to explain the deep subject of neuroscience to kids.  Tory spoke about the Science Comics line of books and how they teach exciting science to young readers. She hinted about her next project about ‘Flip Fables’ with the promise of more information next year.

While at the recent New York Comic Con, Gisèle Lagacé was interviewed on camera by Comicsverse about her new series Exorsisters that she’s doing along with Ian Boothby. In addition to providing the background for Exorsisters, Gisèle talked about her work on Ménage à 3 and how it will unfortunately be ending soon. The Chronicle Herald interviewed Derek Jessome and Jeff Knott about their new comic book company called Grandway Comics. Based out of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Derek and Jeff have created a new superhero called Space Cowboy.
