Gerhard talks about his comic book art past and present

True North Country Comics talked to Gerhard about his #comicbook art past and present

Here’s my chat with Gerhard at Tri-City Super Con. Podcast is available on Apple Podcasts.

Gerhard

Gerhard is the Eisner-award winning and Joe Shuster award-winning artist who worked for 20 years on 300 issues of Cerebus which has been called ‘one of the most sprawling pieces of visual fiction every created’. Since completing Cerebus in 2004, he has been exploring other creative endeavours including doing commissioned work through his website, GerhardArt.com.

During our chat, Gerhard talked about this time working on Cerebus with Dave Sim with mention of Archie Goodwin. He also spoke about his upcoming work with Grant Morrison on a story called ‘Smile of an Absent Cat’ for Heavy Metal. He also highly endorsed the new book from Greg Hyland called Monster Atlas for which he provided some artwork.
