DC Comics announced this week that among its many editions, Action Comics #1000 will feature a 1940’s Superman variant cover by Michael Cho. More information is available at dccomics.com
Aspen Comics announced it will publish Executive Assistant: Iris vol 5 #1 on May 23 featuring writer Blake Northcott.
News appeared this past week mentioning that Marcus To has joined the creative team on IDW’s five week comic book series Star Trek The Next Generation: Through the Mirror starting in May.
Mark Millar’s Millarworld has confirmed that Jeff Lemire and Eduardo Risso will be the the creative team on Hit-Girl starting with issue 5 as they take her to Canada.
According to a Marvel press release Jim Zub and Chris Bachalo will team up this spring for the ‘dark romance’ Hunt for Wolverine: Mystery in Madripoor as part of four miniseries.
This week I interviewed Allison O’Toole about her latest project Wayward Sisters – An Anthology of Monstrous Women. We had a great discussion about how she became an editor and what an editor does. She also talks about her current project ‘Wayward Sisters’. She talks about the publishing process and how Kickstarter has ups and downs that typically go with this method of publishing.
