Interview with Hope Nicholson

Here’s my interview with with Hope Nicholson.

Hope is the owner of Winnipeg comics publisher Bedside Press, and a comic book historian. She’s known for her successful projects including the development of the Margaret Atwood/Johnnie Christmas/Tamra Bonvillain graphic novel series Angel Catbird for Dark Horse, writing The Spectacular Sisterhood of Superwomen, a history of female characters in comics for Quirk Books, her speaking engagements at conventions and events on women in fandom, Canadian comic book history, and self-publishing. And in her spare time she runs the Prairie Comics Festival in Winnipeg. You can’t slow Hope down.

In this interview Hope talks about her many accomplishments including her recently published effort called Window Horses and the successfully funded Kickstarter project Gothic Tales of Haunted Love. I spoke with Scott Chantler last month at Fan Expo 2017 about his artistic contribution to the anthology. Plus also Hope talks about her upcoming plans including New York Comic Con and BookFest Windsor.
